Project Status 4: Scenario 1, Current Trends
Scenario 1 is based upon a continuation of current development trends and patterns, similar to that which has occurred over the past in Jefferson Parish. Land use types, densities, and basic development patterns would be assumed to continue in a manner similar to currently developed areas, following similar policies in effect today. If the present trends are extended into the future, new residential development tends to occur in previously undeveloped areas on the West Bank, with areas of infill and redevelopment occurring within the East Bank. Commercial development will tend to occur in relatively large developments along major arterials and highways.
