The Jefferson Parish Planning Department is responsible for administration of and making recommendations on zoning subdivision and site plan review regulations special studies as required plans for and oversight of public transportation capital budget and program preparation maintaininent base maps and participation on regional activities as they relate to Jefferson Parish. Additionally the Planning Department furnishes technical assistance to the Administration Council and line departments as well as assigning staff to appropriate working committees.
The Planning Department is responsible for all planning activities in the unincorporated areas of Jefferson Parish which includes Metairie River Ridge Jefferson Avondale Bridge City Marrero Harvey Terrytown and Estelle.
