Agency Mission: To provide trained and caring staff to break the cycle of institutionalization of children and adults. At INCS, we accomplish this by taking person-centered and holistic approaches to independence. We believe that every individual should have an opportunity to live a meaningful and productive life.

- Foster Care
Cost: Sliding scale fee paid by client, Medicaid or private insurance

Geographic Area Served: East and West Banks of Jefferson Parish, Orleans Parish, North Shore
Population Served/Eligibility: Males and females age 6-21 in need of foster parents
Program Entry: Referral by self/family, school, court, mental health professional
Assessment: Personal interview, psychological/psychiatric evaluation, mental health evaluation/assessment as needed

- Mentoring
Cost: None for those referred through Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority, $10 for others

Geographic Area Served: East and West Banks of Jefferson Parish, Orleans Parish, North Shore
Population Served/Eligibility: Males and females age 6-21 in need of an adult mentor
Program Entry: Referral by self/family, school, court, mental health professional
Assessment: Personal interview, psychological/psychiatric evaluation, mental health evaluation/assessment as needed

- Supported Employment
Cost: Sliding scale fee paid by client, Medicaid or private insurance

Geographic Area Served: East and West Banks of Jefferson Parish, Orleans Parish, North Shore
Population Served/Eligibility: Males and females with developmental disabilities of employable age in need of a job and on-the-job training
Program Entry: Referral by self/family, school, court, mental health professional
Assessment: Personal interview, psychological/psychiatric evaluation, mental health evaluation/assessment as needed

- Supported Independent Living
Cost: Sliding scale fee paid by client, Medicaid or private insurance

Geographic Area Served: East and West Banks of Jefferson Parish, Orleans Parish, North Shore
Population Served/Eligibility: Males and females age 6-21 with severe disabilities in need of independent living skills training (respite and personal care attendance also provided)
Program Entry: Referral by self/family, school, court, mental health professional
Assessment: Personal interview, psychological/psychiatric evaluation, mental health evaluation/assessment as needed
