RESIDENTIAL Curbside Collection: Curbside collection of Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials is provided to residential structures containing four (4) units or less.  Residential structures with greater than four (4) units may be included on a case-by-case basis, with written approval by the Director of the Department of Environmental Affairs.  Each unit is entitled to 1 new garbage cart free of charge and recycling bins upon request.  Additional carts may be purchased .  Disabled residents may request “side door” service.

Garbage:

• All household garbage, trash, and yard waste- including leaves and grass clippings, construction debris, sheet rock, saw dust, etc., must be containerized.
• Containerized garbage is collected 2 x per week on your scheduled days.
• Garbage carts may not be placed out for collection any sooner than 4:00 pm on the day preceding your regular collection day.  Emptied containers must be removed from the curb by noon on the day immediately following the collection day.

Household Recyclables:

• Recyclables must be contained within the green 18 gal. bin provided by the Parish.
• Items in the bin are collected 1 x per week on your scheduled day.
• Recycling bins may not be placed out for collection any sooner than 4:00 pm on the day preceding your regular collection day.  Emptied containers must be removed from the curb by noon on the day immediately following the collection day.

Bulky Waste:

• Items that are too large to fit in the cart - such as furniture and tree limbs - are collected 1 x per week on your scheduled day.
• Debris must be neatly stacked or securely tied in bundles, and shall not exceed six feet in length and 400 pounds in weight.
• Collection does not include construction debris generated from new construction and demolition of primary structures.

White Goods and Tires:

• Tires and white goods- such as refrigerators, washers, and water heaters - are collected 1 x per week on your scheduled day.
• Please limit placement per day to: tires (4 per unit) and white goods (4 per unit).

SMALL BUSINESS Curbside Collection: Curbside collection of garbage and recyclables is provided to small businesses who meet the limits described below.  Each unit is entitled to 1 new garbage cart free of charge and recycling bins upon request.  One additional cart may be purchased.  Collection of bulky items, tires and white goods is not provided to commercial units.

• Small businesses are limited to 2 carts per unit.
• Containerized garbage is collected 2 x per week on your scheduled days.
• Garbage carts may not be placed out for collection any sooner than 4:00 pm on the day preceding your regular collection day.  Emptied containers must be removed from the curb by noon on the day immediately following the collection day.

Recyclables:
