FREE COVID-19 TESTING AND VACCINES AVAILABLE AT ALARIO CENTER

List of local testing and vaccination sites in Jefferson Parish is updated regularly at COVID.JeffParish.net

JEFFERSON, LA – Starting today, August 16, 2021, drive-thru COVID-19 testing and walk-up COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer and J&J) will be administered at the Alario Center (2000 Segnette Blvd, Westwego, LA 70094). This site will be open every Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. It is encouraged that anyone wishing to be tested pre-register at Quest Diagnostics.

Testing at the Alario Center is available to individuals five years or older who want to know their COVID-19 status. Individuals under 16 years old must have a parent or legal guardian present to consent to testing. Everyone 12 and older is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in Louisiana (Pfizer is the only COVID-19 vaccine approved for people ages 12-17).

Due to the recent increase in demand for COVID testing, the following community test sites will also be available in Jefferson Parish starting this week: Celebration Church’s Kenner Campus, located at 3550 Williams Blvd. Kenner, LA 70065 (every Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.); Terrytown Playground, located at 641 Heritage Ave. Terrytown, LA 70056 (every Thursday from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.); and West Jefferson Medical Center Drive-Thru, located at 4413 Wichers Dr., Marrero, LA 70072 (every Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.). Pfizer and J&J vaccines are regularly available at Lakeside Mall, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and Oakwood Center, among many other sites throughout Jefferson Parish.
