JEFFERSON PARISH GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS REOPEN ON WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 16 AND JEFFERSON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE AS SCHEDULED

Garbage, Recycling and Bulk Waste Collection for Residents of Unincorporated Jefferson Parish and the Town of Jean Lafitte will Resume on Wednesday

JEFFERSON, LA – All Jefferson Parish buildings will reopen on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. This includes the Joseph S. Yenni Building, the General Government Building, Jefferson Parish Credit Union, Jefferson Parish libraries and all Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation parks and activities. The Jefferson Parish Council Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 10 a.m. at the East Bank Council Chambers will proceed as planned.

All curbside garbage and recycling services will resume as scheduled on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Areas regularly scheduled for curbside collection on a Wednesday will have material collected on Wednesday. All four Parish residential drop-off sites will also be open. There will be no make-up day for the suspended pick-up on Tuesday. For those that were missed on Tuesday, the next scheduled pick-up is on Friday, September 18, 2020.

Jefferson Transit (JeT) is running its normal operations today and will continue with full service tomorrow for both MITS and fixed routes. For updates on JeT service, visit www.jeffersontransit.org/.
