PASSPORT HEALTH FOR A DRIVE-THRU TO ADMINISTER COVID VACCINE ON MARCH 8, 2021

JEFFERSON, LA – The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) in collaboration with Jefferson Parish and Passport Health, will be administering the COVID-19 Johnson & Johnson vaccine on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Alario Center (2000 Segnette Blvd, Westwego, LA 70094) by appointment only. The vaccine is only available to those meeting the current LDH phase criteria (includes persons 65 years or older, healthcare workers, first-responders, emergency response personnel, elections staff, teachers and support staff, pregnant persons and individuals 55-64 with one or more health conditions defined by the CDC). CLICK HERE for the full list of those who qualify from LDH.

The online registration portal will open for reservations at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 and will only remain open until all vaccine appointments are filled. Those who fall in LDH’s current phase guidelines who have not yet received a vaccine should visit covidvaccinations.jeffparish.net to make an appointment. Please note that registration will only be available through the website for Monday’s event. You must have a reservation to receive a vaccine and it will only be honored on the date and time reserved. Anyone registered who does not meet the current criteria will be turned away. This vaccine distribution will be a drive-thru and will take place rain or shine; there is no cost to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

As additional allotments of vaccine are provided by LDH to Jefferson Parish partners in the coming weeks, more appointments will be available in the online registration system.
