JEFFERSON PARISH TO HOST TWO MAJOR OUTDOOR FESTIVALS IN
THE NEXT 30 DAYS FEATURING LOUISIANA & NATIONAL MUSIC ARTISTS:
LAFITTE SEAFOOD FEST & UNCLE SAM JAM LEAD OFF LIVE FESTIVALS

JEFFERSON, LA - Signifying the revival of live festivals as we knew them before quarantine, Jefferson Parish is leading the return staging the Lafitte Seafood Festival in Lafitte on June 25 – 27 followed closely by the 25th edition of Uncle Sam Jam in Lafreniere Park on July 3.

Lafitte Seafood Fest will be three days of Grammy Award Winning music, Louisiana food, swamp tours, boardwalk strolls, kayak & pirogue rentals, carnival rides and an art walk. Admission to the three-day festival is $10 on Friday, $15 on Saturday and Sunday. There is a three-day pass for $35 per person and a special $45 rate that includes three-day admission to the festival including entry into the Lafitte's Barataria Museum and Wetland Trace and a swamp tour excursion. Performing at the Lafitte Seafood Festival are The Marshall Tucker Band, Gin Blossoms, Revisiting Creedence (members of Creedence Clearwater), Marc Broussard, Cowboy Mouth, Allie Colleen, Amanda Shaw, Rockin Doopsie & the Zydeco Twisters, Nashville South, Perfect Love, Junior, Ole Ghost, Aaron Foret, and Ryan Foret. Gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Uncle Sam Jam, on the sprawling Al Copeland Concert Meadows in Lafreniere Park on Saturday, July 3rd, will kickoff the Independence Day weekend with a free, open-air concert and fireworks display. Celebrating its 25th year, Uncle Sam Jam will feature The Guess Who and Wilson Phillips. Uncle Sam Jam is a free event, but there will be a VIP Parking and Upgrade Pass on sale available to the first 300 people who purchase the package from the Uncle Sam Jam website. Those passes will go on sale beginning Friday, June 18.
