LANE CLOSURES
LAPALCO BOULEVARD
Lapalco Bridge over the Harvey Canal

JEFFERSON, LA – Starting Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 8:00 a.m., there will be multiple lane closures of the Lapalco Bridge over the Harvey Canal.

During total closures of the westbound lanes, motorists will detour by exiting Lapalco Blvd. and turn right on Peters Rd., turn left through the Harvey Tunnel, turn left onto Destrehan Dr. then turn left onto Lapalco Blvd.

See below for lane closure schedule:

• Saturday, February 27 from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., there will be a total closure of the westbound lanes and the left eastbound lane.
• Saturday, February 27 at 8:00 p.m. through Sunday, February 28 at 8:00 a.m., the left westbound lane will be closed (use available lane for travel).
• Sunday, February 28 from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., there will be a total closure of the westbound lanes and the left eastbound lane.
• Monday, March 1 through Friday, March 5 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., the left eastbound lane and the left westbound lane will be closed (use available lane for travel).

The closures are necessary to repair the street lights in the center median at a cost of $85,000. Work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, March 5, 2021 at 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.
