VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE LAFRENIERE SUB-AREA PLAN
The virtual meeting will be held via Zoom and viewable on
JPTV and Jefferson Parish Facebook.
JEFFERSON, LA – Jefferson Parish will be hosting a public meeting to provide an update on the implementation of the Lafreniere Sub Area Plan. The public meeting will be held virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 6:00 pm.

In 2019, following a comprehensive planning study sponsored by Councilman Dominick Impastato, the Lafreniere Sub Area Plan was completed and adopted by the Parish Council. Over the past eight months, Parish consultant N-Y Associates has been working on implementing zoning initiatives identified in the plan, including specific zoning changes to the areas surrounding Lafreniere Park. The firm has performed analysis on zoning, land use and signage, and working with an appointed citizen Task Force, has prepared preliminary recommendations.
At the public meeting, the Parish will provide the Lafreniere area analysis, findings and recommendations, and request input and feedback from the public on the recommendations for implementation.
Due to COVID-19, this public meeting will be held virtually. A presentation will be given, and questions from the public will be fielded by the consultant team and Parish planning staff during and after the presentation. Following the meeting, the presentation will be available on the Parish website, and comments may also be emailed to brichards@n-yassociates.com. Everyone’s participation and input are important to the process!
The virtual meeting will be viewable on JPTV (Channel 6 on Cox and Channel 99 on AT&T Uverse), as well as the Jefferson Parish Facebook page at www.facebook.com/JeffersonParishGov/. The public can also view a copy of the virtual public meeting at the Project website, www.jeffparish.net/LafrenierePlan.
