LANE CLOSURE: LAPALCO BOULEVARD AT BANNERWOOD DRIVE

Starting today, the right eastbound lane of Lapalco Blvd. at Bannerwood Dr. will be closed. Motorists will merge to available lanes.

U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS COMMITS $122 MILLION TO GRAND ISLE POST-IDA REPAIRS

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has committed $122 million to repair damages to the Grand Isle Federal Dune Project that were sustained during Hurricane Ida, which will include interim repairs, stone work and clay core restoration.

JEFFERSON PARISH OFFICES CLOSED ON MON. MAY 30, 2022 IN OBSERVANCE OF MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY

All Jefferson Parish offices, including all Jefferson Parish libraries and JPAWS, will be closed on Monday, May 30, 2022. Programming at JPRD parks and playgrounds (not including Lafreniere Park or Parc des Familles) will also be suspended on Monday in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday and will resume operations on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

ALARIO CENTER COVID-19 TESTING & VACCINE SITE IN JEFFERSON PARISH TO CLOSE ON FRIDAY, MAY 27

The Alario Center COVID-19 testing and vaccine site, operated by the Louisiana National Guard and Quest Diagnostics, will close on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 4 p.m.

JEFFERSON PARISH HOSTS MEMORIAL DAY CERERMONY ON MAY 26, 2022 AT 9:00 A.M.

Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng, along with other Parish officials, will be hosting a Memorial Day Ceremony on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.

LANE CLOSURE: MISSISSIPPI AVENUE

The northbound lane of Mississippi Ave., between 27th St. and Fulton St., will be closed until 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, weather permitting.

LANE CLOSURE: MANHATTAN BOULEVARD

The right southbound lane at 1342 Manhattan Blvd., will be closed until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022, weather permitting.

JEFFERSON PARISH HOSTS HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS MATERIALS COLLECTION EVENT ON SATURDAY, MAY 21, 2022

The Jefferson Parish Department of Environmental Affairs will collect household hazardous materials (HHM) from Jefferson Parish residents on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

JEFFERSON PARISH COUNCIL ANNOUNCES PROJECTS FOR THE $84 MILLION IN AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN (ARP) FUNDING

The Jefferson Parish Council has announced projects to be funded by the American Rescue Plan, an act of Congress that gave state and local governments funding to mitigate the significant negative financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

LANE CLOSURE: WEST ESPLANADE AVENUE

Starting on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, one eastbound lane of W. Esplanade Ave. between Transcontinental Dr. and Causeway Blvd. will be closed from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.
