JEFFERSON PARISH TO HOLD HURRICANE PREP PRESS CONFERENCE ON FRIDAY, MAY 3, 2024 AT THE EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER
Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng will join other parish officials and partners for a press conference to update the public on hurricane preparedness on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 10 a.m., ahead of National Hurricane Preparedness Week (May 5 – 11, 2024).

Starting Wednesday, May 1, 2024, Jefferson Parish, in conjunction with GovDeals, will be hosting a Jefferson Parish online surplus property auction until Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

Starting tomorrow (Tuesday, April 30, 2024) at 9 a.m., Lake Avenue at westbound Veterans Boulevard will be closed continuously.
LANE CLOSURES: MOUNES STREET AND EDWARDS AVENUE
Starting Monday, April 29, 2024 at 7 a.m., the right eastbound lane of Mounes Street at northbound Edwards Avenue will be closed.

The Jefferson Community Action Programs Department (JeffCAP), in partnership with Atmos Energy, will be hosting two Share the Warmth Blitz events.

Starting Monday, April 29, 2024 at 7 a.m., one lane of westbound Lapalco Boulevard between Barataria Boulevard and Ames Boulevard will be closed continuously.

The Jefferson Community Action Programs Department (JeffCAP) will be hosting a Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LiHEAP) outreach event on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Kenner Senior Center (641 Compromise Street, Kenner, LA 70062).

The Louisiana Department of Health’s Office of Public Health Region 1 (Orleans Metro Area) will host Spring Into Health, a health and community resource fair on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jefferson Parish Health Unit in Marrero located at 1855 Ames Blvd.
JEFFERSON PARISH TO OPEN NARCAN DISTRIBUTION SITE AT METAIRIE PUBLIC HEALTH UNIT
Jefferson Parish will launch a Narcan distribution site at the Metairie Public Health Unit (109 Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA 70001) starting Thursday, April 25, 2024.
