METAIRIE ROAD ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE RESCHEDULED TO ROLL ON SUNDAY,
APRIL 7, 2024 AT NOON DUE TO ANTICIPATED INCLEMENT WEATHER FORECASTED
FOR THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 17, 2024

JEFFERSON, LA – The Metairie Road St. Patrick’s Day Parade will now roll on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at noon due to the anticipated inclement weather forecast for this Sunday, March 17, 2024 which was when the parade was originally scheduled to roll.

“We are thankful for the Jefferson Parish leaders who worked with us to reschedule the parade to ensure riders and spectators have a safe and fun experience,” said President and Captain of the Metairie Road St. Patrick’s Day Parade Dan Civello. “We look forward to seeing everyone on the route on April 7th!”

The St. Patrick’s Day Classic, a 2-mile race that starts outside Gennaro’s Restaurant/Bar at Metairie Rd. and N Causeway Blvd., will still take place on Sunday, March 17, 2024; however, it will be rescheduled to take place at 9 a.m. instead of 10 a.m. due to the weather.
