The Jefferson Parish Registrar of Voters Office is urging all registered voters to confirm their “Party Affiliation” in preparation for the upcoming Spring 2024 Presidential Preference Primary election, scheduled for March 23, 2024.

Cyril Lagvanec, PhD, the curator of the American-Italian Research Library located on the second floor of the East Bank Regional Library, will give a lecture on the House of Savoy at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the East Bank Regional Library.

Augustin J. Correro, MFA, a theatrical director, producer and educator based in New Orleans, will discuss his book Tennessee Williams 101, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the East Bank Regional Library.

LANE CLOSURE: SEVERN AVENUE

On Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, one northbound and one southbound lane of Severn Ave., between 17th St. and 18th St. will be closed between the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., weather permitting.

MAGICAL KREWE OF MADHATTERS PARADE RESCHEDULED TO ROLL ON SUNDAY, FEB. 4, 2024

The Magical Krewe of MadHatters will now roll on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024 following the Krewe of Atlas which will roll at 2 p.m., due to the anticipated inclement weather forecast for Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024.

LANE CLOSURE: LAPALCO BOULEVARD

Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, the eastbound right and center lane of Lapalco Blvd., between Fairfield Ave. and Marlene Dr., will be closed.

EMERGENCY CLOSURE OF SOUTHBOUND LANES OF AMES BOULEVARD BETWEEN BELLE TERRE ROAD AND LAPALCO BOULEVARD

Due to a collapsed sewer line under Ames Blvd., both southbound lanes between Belle Terre Rd. and Lapalco Blvd., is currently closed.

Alexandrea Weis, RN, PhD, an author of 15 books of fiction and young adults, will discuss her friendship with American playwright Tennessee Williams at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at the East Bank Regional Library.
