ALL JEFFERSON PARISH OFFICES CLOSED ON THURSDAY, NOV. 25 AND FRIDAY, NOV. 26 IN OBSERVANCE OF THANKSGIVING
Garbage Will Not Be Collected in Unincorporated Jefferson Parish on Thursday, Nov. 25

JEFFERSON, LA – All Jefferson Parish offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021 and Friday, Nov. 26, 2021 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Additionally, there will be no garbage collection on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 25) for residents of unincorporated Jefferson Parish. There will be no make-up day for the missed garbage pick-up on Thanksgiving Day; the next collection day for those scheduled to have garbage pick-up on Thursdays will be Monday, Nov. 29. All four Parish trash drop-off sites and the Jefferson Parish Landfill will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and will reopen Friday, Nov. 26. The following will also be closed in observance of the holiday:

  • COVID-19 testing and vaccinations at the Alario Center from Thursday (Nov. 25) through Sunday (Nov. 28)
  • COVID-19 testing at Johnny Bright Playground on Thursday (Nov. 25) and Friday (Nov. 26)
  • FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at the Alario Center from Thursday (Nov. 25) through Sunday (Nov. 28)
