BOO-2-U AND TRUNK OR TREAT AT LAFRENIERE
PARK TO TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY, OCT. 21, 2023

JEFFERSON, LA – The Dawn Busters Kiwanis Club of Metairie will be hosting the second BOO-2-U and 4th Annual Trunk or Treat events on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Lafreniere Park (3000 Downs Blvd., Metairie, LA 70003) located near the carousel.

The family-oriented Halloween fest day will kick-off with BOO-2-U, starting at 11:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. This festival is designed for children ages one to ten years old filled with many activities such as: spacewalks, face painting, pumpkin patch hunt, costume contests by age, children’s games, free carousel rides, chess and checker tournaments, military vehicles, pet adoptions and much more. Adults will be able to visit the Boo-Ville-Halloween-Village marketplace to shop for Halloween decorations and crafts. Additionally, there will be a food court, carousel rides, space walks, a costume contest and a photo ally for all to enjoy. 

Following BOO-2-U will be the 4th Annual Trunk or Treat, starting at 6:00 p.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m. Trunk or Treat will feature over 45 vehicles giving out free candy.

Tickets for BOO-2-U are $15 per child and $10 for adults. Tickets for Trunk or Treat are $15 per child – free admission for adults. Please note when purchasing tickets, BOO-2-U and Trunk or Treat are two separate events which require two separate ticket purchases. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate, and all purchased write bands will be required to be worn at all times for both events to participate.

Those interested in participating as one of the trunks for Trunk or Treat must fill out a Trunk-A-Treat Registration Form and email to the Lafreniere Park Office by Tuesday, October 17, 2023. For more information about both events, please call Lafreniere Park at (504) 838-4389.
