EASTBOUND JEFFERSON HIGHWAY BETWEEN CENTRAL AVENUE AND SHREWSBURY ROAD TO REOPEN TODAY AT 5 P.M.

JEFFERSON, LA – All three lanes of Eastbound Jefferson Highway between Central Avenue and Shrewsbury Road will reopen to vehicular traffic today (Wednesday, February 7, 2024) at 5 p.m.

Alternating lanes of Eastbound Jefferson Highway were closed for repairs following a subsurface water main break on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Contractors will return in approximately 30 days to install the permanent asphalt surface after the road has settled. All necessary lane closure announcements will be issued before work begins.
