JEFFERSON PARISH LIBRARY TO HOST NINE BANDS AS PART OF HOLIDAY PROGRAMMING

JEFFERSON, LA – The East Bank Regional Library (4747 W. Napoleon Ave., Metairie, LA 70001) will host eight musical concerts as part of its 2023 holiday programming. Each concert is free of charge and is open to the public.

Crescent City Big Band

Monday, December 4, 2023, 7 p.m.
Mike Scorsone Presents
Musician and teacher Michael Scorsone presents a night of music from young performers.

Wednesday, December 6, 2023, 7 p.m.
New Aurora Saxophone Ensemble
This small group, consisting only of saxophones, performs a variety of tunes.

Monday, December 11, 2023, 7 p.m.
American Legion Post 350 Band
The band performs standards as well as holiday music.

Tuesday, December 12, 2023, 7 p.m.
Performer Cathy Gianfala
Nashville recording star Cathy Gianfala performs a variety of music in her second appearance at the library.

Wednesday, December 13, 2023, 7 p.m.
Trombone Choir of the New Orleans Concert Band
The Trombone Choir of the New Orleans Concert Band — a group consisting of a dozen trombones — performs traditional and contemporary music.

Thursday, December 14, 2023, 7 p.m.
The Jefferson Parish Community Band
The Jefferson Parish Community Band, roughly 50 musicians, returns with a full program of music for every age.

Tuesday, December 20, 2023, 1 p.m.
Memory Lane
Jean, Richard and Sam perform holiday music and popular tunes.

Sunday, December 17, 2023, 2 p.m.
The Jerusalem Shrine Big Band
Note: The band performs at the annual West Bank Regional Library’s Holiday Party (2751 Manhattan Blvd., Harvey., LA 70058).
