JEFFERSON PARISH OFFICES CLOSED ON MON. SEPTEMBER 5, 2022 IN OBSERVANCE OF LABOR DAY
No garbage collection on Monday, September 5; curbside recycling will take place as scheduled

JEFFERSON, LA – All Jefferson Parish Government offices, including the Jefferson Parish libraries and the Jefferson Protection & Animal Welfare Services (JPAWS), will be closed on Monday, September 5, 2022 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. There will be no Jefferson Parish Parks & Recreation (JPRD) programming on Monday, September 5, 2022 and parks will be closed (not including Lafreniere Park and Parc des Familles). Jefferson Parish Transit will be running a Saturday schedule service on Monday, September 5, 2022. Visit www.JPTransit.org for more information.

There will be no curbside garbage collection on Monday, September 5, 2022 for residents of Unincorporated Jefferson Parish and the Town of Jean Lafitte. There will be no make-up day for the missed garbage collection on Labor Day; the next collection day for those scheduled to have garbage pick-up on Mondays will be Thursday, September 8, 2022. All four Parish trash drop-off sites and the Jefferson Parish Landfill will be closed on Labor Day and will reopen on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Curbside recycling will take place as scheduled for areas that receive pick-ups on a Monday.
