JEFFERSON PARISH OFFICES CLOSED ON THURSDAY, NOV. 23 AND
FRIDAY, NOV. 24 IN OBSERVANCE OF THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY

No garbage collection on Thursday, Nov. 23; curbside recycling to take place as scheduled

JEFFERSON, LA – All Jefferson Parish Government offices, including the Jefferson Protection & Animal Welfare Services (JPAWS) and the East and West Jefferson American Job Centers, will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24, 2023 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

GARBAGE, RECYCLING & COOKING OIL DROP-OFF SITES
There will be no curbside garbage collection on Thursday, Nov. 23 for residents of Unincorporated Jefferson Parish and the Town of Jean Lafitte. There will be no make-up day for the missed garbage collection on Thanksgiving Day; the next collection day for those scheduled to have garbage pick-up on Thursdays will be Monday, Nov. 27. Curbside recycling will take place as scheduled for areas that receive pick-ups on a Thursday. Additionally, the Jefferson Parish Department of Environmental Affairs would like to remind residents that there are two drop-off locations for residents to dispose of used cooking oil. LIBRARY
All Jefferson Parish libraries will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22 and will remain closed on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24. All locations will reopen to the public on Saturday, Nov. 25 for normal operations. For more information, visit www.JPLibrary.net.

JPRD
All Jefferson Parish Parks & Recreation (JPRD) classes and programs (not including Lafreniere Park and Parc des Familles) will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24 and will resume operations on Saturday, Nov. 25. Visit www.JPRD.com for more information.

TRANSIT
Jefferson Parish Transit will be running a Saturday schedule service on Thursday, November 23 and will resume with normal schedule on Friday, Nov. 24. Visit www.JPTransit.org for more information.
