**JEFFERSON PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT AND NOLA FAMILIES IN NEED TO HOST CHRISTMAS FOR THE KIDS AT PONTIFF PLAYGROUND**

JEFFERSON, LA – The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department will partner with NOLA Families in Need to host Christmas for the Kids on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 3-7 p.m., at Pontiff Playground (1521 Palm St., Metairie, LA 70001).

The public is invited to help organize NOLA Families in Need Toy Drive donations while enjoying free food, spacewalks, holiday music, arts and crafts, letters to Santa, and more. Most importantly, attendees will have an opportunity to leave the party with a bag of Christmas gifts to anonymously deliver to a local family in need.

Christmas for the Kids is open to all ages and abilities. For entry, each attendee must bring one new unwrapped toy with a minimum value of $20 for children ages 0-16.

Each year, NOLA Families in Need makes a significant difference in the lives of thousands of children by ensuring they receive Christmas presents. Thanks to the kindness and support of donors, families facing challenging circumstances, those dealing with medical challenges, children without families, and families with special needs individuals can continue to experience the magic of Christmas.

Please note: Christmas for the Kids is not a toy giveaway; items collected on Sunday will not be distributed at the event.
