CAUSEWAY BLVD. OVERPASS AT AIRLINE DRIVE
JEFFERSON, LA - The Jefferson Parish Engineering Department is working with Boh Bros. to rehabilitate the ramps and overpass of Causeway Blvd. at Airline Drive in Metairie. The cost of this project is $12.51 million. The following road closures are necessary due to work scheduled to begin on Monday, June 28, 2021, weather permitting:
One lane of the Causeway Blvd. overpass at the Airline Dr. traffic circle will be closed starting on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 5 a.m. until Friday, January 28, 2022, weather permitting. Motorists should merge to the left lane in each direction while this closure is in effect.
The Causeway Blvd. overpass at the Airline Dr. traffic circle will be fully closed in both directions nightly at 7 p.m. and reopening at 5 a.m. starting on Monday, June 28, 2021 until Thursday, July 1, 2021, weather permitting. Motorists in both directions should exit the Airline Dr. traffic circle then merge back onto Causeway Blvd. while this closure is in effect.
All Metairie Road lanes under the Causeway Blvd. bridge will be closed in both directions overnight on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 7 p.m. until Tuesday, June 29 at 5 a.m., weather permitting. Motorists traveling eastbound on Metairie Rd. should turn right on Frontage Rd. and make a U-turn at Johnson St. then proceed back to Metairie Road. Motorists traveling westbound on Metairie Rd. should turn right onto Causeway Blvd. then make a U-turn at W. Metairie Ave.
