JEFFERSON PARISH GOVERNMENT CLOSED MONDAY, MAY 27, 2024 IN OBSERVANCE OF MEMORIAL DAY

JEFFERSON, LA – All Jefferson Parish Government offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. See below for additional closure and changes by department.

Public Works:

Curbside garbage collection will take place as scheduled on Monday, May 27. The Jefferson Parish Landfill will be closed on Monday and will reopen at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28. Residents and businesses can find their trash collection days by visiting the Jefferson Parish Environmental Affairs Department page. For more information, call (504) 731-4612.

External Citizens’ Services:

All Jefferson Parish Parks & Recreation (JPRD) classes and programs (not including Lafreniere Park and Parc des Familles), Jefferson Parish Libraries and the Jefferson Parish Protection & Animal Welfare Services (JPAWS), will be closed on Monday, May 27, and will resume normal operations on Tuesday, May 28.

Jefferson Parish Transit will be running a normal schedule on Monday, May 27.

Engagement and Community Programs:

The Jefferson Parish East and West Bank American Job Centers will be closed on Monday, May 27, and will reopen to the public on Tuesday, May 28. For unemployment services, residents can call 1-866-783-5567.
