The landfill does not accept discarded appliances, tires or liquid wastes.

The Jefferson Parish Landfill accepts municipal garbage and trash from residences and businesses in Jefferson Parish.

• Residents are allowed two free loads per day.
   
• Small Business:  Cash is not accepted.  Credit card or checks only.  $5.00 minimum.
   
• Churches and Schools may use the facilities, but they are subject to commercial disposal fees.
   
• For Safety and contractual considerations, residents will only use the containers at the Citizens’ Dump area (ramp), not the landfill working area.  The road around the Citizens’ Dump Area is paved, but the access to the working area is not.  The landfill Working Area is not designed or constructed for personal vehicles.  Jefferson Parish and the Landfill Contractor are not responsible for any damage to vehicles or tires if a resident elects to drive a personal vehicle to the Landfill Working Area.
   
• Any property or location which is not the primary residence (rental property, new construction, or renovation of existing property) of the Parish resident hauling the trash is considered commercial property and subject to commercial disposal fees.
