Curbside garbage collection is scheduled to resume on Monday, September 6th. Due to the impacts of Hurricane Ida in the area, collection will be limited to material placed in Parish issued tipper carts.

Today, Second Harvest Food Bank will be distributing supplies at Waggaman Playground (516 Dandelion, Waggaman, LA 70094).

SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK DRIVE THROUGH SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION AT LAFRENIERE PARK, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2021 AT 8 A.M.

Second Harvest Food Bank, along with District 4 Councilman Dominick Impastato, will be distributing supplies at Lafreniere Park on Saturday, September 4, 2021, starting at 8:00 a.m. Residents are asked to enter and exit from the gates at the W. Napoleon Ave. entrance.

The Jefferson Parish Administration, along with the Emergency Management and Public Works Departments, continue to respond to Hurricane Ida.

JEAN LAFITTE BLVD. IN THE TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE CLOSED FOR THE NEXT 2 HOURS

According to Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joe Lopinto, Jean Lafitte Boulevard in the Town of Jean Lafitte will be closed until around 2:30 p.m. to make room for a military convoy. No vehicular traffic will be allowed through.

Entergy Corporation (NYSE: ETR) subsidiaries Entergy Louisiana and Entergy New Orleans announced today preliminary estimated times to complete power restoration for those customers affected by Hurricane Ida, a historic Category 4 storm that impacted nearly 950,000 customers in southeast Louisiana and southwest Mississippi.
